Data Deletion & Account Removal

Version 1.0 - Effective 5 April 2026

You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and account at any time. This page explains what happens when you do and how to submit a request.

1. How to Request Deletion

Option A — Self-Service (Account Settings)

  1. Sign in to your Vivley account
  2. Go to Profile → Security
  3. Scroll to the “Delete Account” section
  4. Confirm your identity and submit the deletion request

Option B — Email Request

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will verify your identity before proceeding.

2. What Gets Deleted

Upon account deletion via self-service, we permanently remove the following immediately upon confirmation:

  • Your account profile (name, email, preferences)
  • Conversation history and saved search data
  • Saved properties and itineraries
  • Session data and personalisation settings

3. What We May Retain

Certain data may be retained beyond the deletion where we have a legal obligation to do so:

  • Booking records — retained for up to 7 years to comply with Australian tax law and consumer protection requirements
  • Payment transaction records — retained by our payment processor in accordance with financial regulations
  • Legal dispute records — if there is an ongoing dispute or legal matter, relevant data may be retained until resolution

Retained data is minimised to only what is legally required and is not used for any other purpose.

4. Timeline

  • Self-service requests are processed immediately upon confirmation
  • Email requests: we will acknowledge within 5 business days and complete within 30 days
  • For GDPR data subject requests from EU/EEA residents, we comply within the statutory one-month period

5. Contact
